APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR RMT

It is time to fill the slate for the 2017-2019 Regional Management Team of Midwest Harmony Region 3, so we are looking for good people from Region 3 who are willing to serve.  

Applications will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee, which consists of Becky McDuffee, Assistant Director of Toast of Champaign Chorus and Director of Prospective East Central Illinois Harmony Chorus; MJ Mortillaro, Immediate Past Region 3 Team Leader and member of the Crosstown Harmony Chorus; Mary Ann Neuman, member of the Melodeers Chorus; and Nettie Crutchfield, member of Great Lakes Sound Chorus. 

Nominees will be selected to fill the following positions for the two-year term beginning May 1, 2017 and ending April 30, 2019:

To be appointed by Regional Management Team:  Finance Coordinator, Events Coordinator, and Marketing Coordinator. The Secretary will be appointed for a one year term.

To be elected by directors:  Directors’ Coordinator.

Ballots for Directors’ Coordinator will be distributed to the directors in November, 2016.  The Regional Management Team will appoint the Finance, Events, and Marketing Coordinators, and the Secretary in January, 2017.  All positions will be confirmed and announced in January, 2017.

The ideal potential nominee should work well with others, well on her own, and as a team member to define and pursue goals, and to carry out the aims of the region and Sweet Adelines International.  Her qualifications also should include the following:

• Positive, objective attitude
• Good listening skills
• Critical and analytical thinking, as well as imaginative and creative thinking
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and ability to use available resources
• Ability to relate to a variety of personality types
• Training and experience in a field which could be of value to the regional management team
• Experience in Sweet Adelines International as a chapter, regional or international officer, committee chair, or member
