Background Info and Experience: I have been a Sweet Adeline since 1986. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music with 30 years experience in teaching and directing. I became the front line director of the Midwest Crossroad Chorus in 1997. We have remained as one of the top 3 choruses in the region since that time and have qualified for International Competition and the Harmony Classic many times. We are currently the Third Place Midsize Chorus in the organization after competing in New Orleans in 2019. I have attended Regional Educational events and IES many times over the years and love to be a life-long learner. I have enjoyed singing in many quartets over the years. I have become a Regional Quartet Champion in 1997 while singing Lead, in 2001 & 2002 while singing Tenor, represented the region as a Wildcard Quartet in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and finally placed 11th at International while singing Baritone with ROXY. My parents are both involved in the barbershop world as well as my husband, daughter and son-in-law. We are a barbershop family! I am also the Director of Music at St John Lutheran Church in Joiet where I have been directing the Adult Choir since 1991. I now plan all services and special music as my fulltime job. I also have certification in Early Childhood Education. I taught in the classroom for over 20 years before becoming the Director of Education and Curriculum.
