Heart of Illinois nominates Julie Frank as Woman of Note for 2025. She
continually goes above and beyond the role of member, both in helping the
chorus and in helping individual members. Anytime the chorus needs
something done, such as putting out and gathering yard signs, picking up
materials and supplies, or volunteering to be a section leader, Julie has
stepped up. Each week Julie places yard signs around our rehearsal site so visitors can
find us. She is always encouraging and welcomes them with enthusiasm. As a
section leader she is considerate and provides positive and constructive
feedback. Julie goes the extra mile for our members outside of rehearsals as
well. Julie set up a Christmas tree for one of our members when she and her
mother were disabled and then took it down after the holidays. She takes
members to doctor’s appointments when rides are needed. She was a caring
friend during the extended illness of Vicki Cox (also a Heart of Illinois member)
and was the executor of her estate after Vicki passed. She is a caregiver in
every sense of the word.
We all appreciate Julie so much! Julie is a Sweet Adeline. She deserves this!
