Yahara River

Deana Grade & Anita O-Keefe

Deana Grade:

  •  Helpful, inspiring, enthusiastic, and so much fun to be with.  She brings so much

energy to the chorus.

  • Exudes enthusiasm and is always willing to step up and do whatever needs

doing. She's dedicated and very supportive to everyone towards their success in

this hobby.

  • Very POSITIVE attitude and energy, whether it’s knowing her vocal part, stepping

in as a leader for group activities, or constantly cheering us on to be better, more

involved and expressive performers.

  • She rarely misses a rehearsal, and has committed herself for decades to Sweet

Adelines. At YRC she fills multiple roles, on the visual communication team,

music team, fills in on the riser team, helps with audio equipment set up, and

encourages us to be the best we can be.

  • She is a great section leader for the Leads and is always willing to spend extra

time with people who need help. She is excellent at being our visual

communication person, and always has excellent ideas for improving our

performance. Deana is at rehearsals regularly, and is a great model for riser

behavior. She leads by example.

  • Deana is a wonderful person who treats all members with respect, and she is a

wonderful friend and person.

ANITA OKEEFE

  • Paying bills, keeping track of debits and credits, creating and sticking to a

budget. YRC is so blessed and lucky to have someone who has the talent and

desire to handle our finances and has provided continuity  as our Financial

Coordinator for many years. When needed, her reminders of past due payments

are gentle, but when needed, she can be persistent. While the music and vocal

skills are what we work on each Tuesday, the money is what keeps our chorus,

our region and SAI going.

  • She has been a faithful member of Sweet Adelines for over 50 years. Her

dedication to YRC is a great example for all of us. She would do anything for a

member with no hesitation.

  • In addition to being a member of our chorus Management Team for more years

than anyone else. She has also held offices at the Regional level.

  • She is an amazing, hardworking member of YRC. She willingly hauls risers to and

fro, as well as keeping all our financial records intact! She is my inspiration. I

hope to have half her energy and willingness to do all she does when I am her

age.

  • She has also been a dedicated member of our costume committee, spending

many hours sewing, repairing and adjusting costumes.

  • She's always pleasant, courteous and kind, and is willing to share her wisdom

about Sweet Adelines and Sweet Adeline events.

  • She does so much work without many public thanks.  Love that woman!!
  • She spends countless hours on our finances. But more important, she loves

Sweet Adelines and has given herself on so many levels for decades! She

welcomes new members and kindly explains things like Scrip, finances or

Contest to anyone who asks, without exception.

  • For many years she brought lunch fixings to competition. And I can’t omit the

many years she has driven us to competitions and towed our risers around. So

many jobs. You’ve gotta love Anita!
