Region 3 Directors and Assistants had a great time at the Director and Assistant Director Retreat with Rob Mance in East Peoria Nov. 20th, 2022, hosted by Heart of Illinois Chorus. 15 Directors and Assistants attended, had a great time, and learned lots!

Congratulations to Joan Boutilier, recipient of the 2022 Sweet Adelines International President’s Lifetime Achievement Award. As International President from 2020-2022, Joan led the organization through the unimaginable challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Current International President Thérèse Antonini writes of Joan’s presidency, “You stayed true through every challenge you faced, providing inspiration and encouragement to an entire organization trying to find its new way. It is an achievement and a legacy that will never be forgotten.” In addition, Joan is an International Quartet Champion, singing tenor with The Four Bettys (2008).

• Effective May 1, 2017, the quartet registration/renewal fee will increase to $100 for registrations received between May 1 and January 15. For registrations received between January 16 and March 31, the additional processing fee will increase to $60. The last increase in the quartet fees was in May 2008.

            Please inform all necessary regional personnel and quartets.  All forms will be updated with the new pricing starting May 1.

• Also, Quartet Renewal time is coming up! Quartet Renewal invoices will be emailed to the quartet contacts in mid-April.  In the month of April all quartet processing is shutdown in order to prepare for renewal time.
