How to Start a Quartet

HOW TO START A QUARTET

Have you ever dreamed about being in a Quartet, but don't know where to start? Here are some ideas for you:

  • If time permits, sing in pick-up quartets after chorus rehearsals to get the feel of what it is like to sing with 3 other people
  • Go to a Region 3 Fall Musical Mayhem or Winter Weekend and sing in pick-up quartets. This will give you an opportunity to sing with women beyond just your own chorus.
  • Consider going to a Quartet Workshop - A Quartet Workshop is an opportunity for quartets to learn from the coaches that are brought in specifically to focus on them and is attended by not only quartets, but also people who are interested in perhaps being in a quartet someday.
Once you are ready to form an official Sweet Adelines quartet, go to: Go to the Quartet Information Page
The Quartet Information page will provide the following info:
  • New Quartet Registration
  • Quartet Name Search and Selection
  • Quartet Renewals
  • Quartet Renewal Dates & Fees

We wish you the best at starting your new quartet!  Enjoy and have FUN!
